Moldovan deputyinterior minister Mihai Gorincioi told Itar-Tass August 23 thatChisinau had completed the disarmament of Gagauz paramilitaryunits. He stressed that the voluntary handover of arms by theGagauz had been made possible by the establishment of genuineautonomy for the Gagauz people.
