CUTS IN RUSSIAN PACIFIC FLEET.

Yesterday 2,500 sailors were released from the Russian Pacific Fleet in what was described as the first stage in a planned reduction of the fleet. Most of those let go came from shore-based coastal defense, communications, and naval aviation units. (Itar-Tass, October 13)
