Russia’s Defense Ministry criticized regional authorities in the Far East yesterday for the cut-off of power to military installations, and said that they would be held accountable for any harmful consequences. In a statement released to the press, the ministry also reminded local authorities that the federal government had forbidden such cut-offs following an incident earlier this year when a Strategic Rocket Forces unit was left without electricity.
