GEORGIA REOPENS SOVIET-ERA BASES.

Tbilisi has agreed to reopen two old radar stations and anti-aircraft sites as part of its agreement with Moscow on Russian basing, Georgian radio said June 1. Russian military personnel will man these sites and train Georgians to operate them. Representatives of the Tajik government and the Tajik opposition failed to agree on power sharing or new elections, the two central issues at the Alma-Ata round of their talks, Moscow radio reported June 2. The two sides failed to set a new date or venue for future talks.
