One of Russia’s richest and most influential bankers, Vladimir Gusinsky, is stepping down as president of Most Bank and chairman of the board of the Most Group to head a new company, Media-Most. The new conglomerate will act as umbrella for the NTV independent television network, the Ekho Moskvy radio station, and the Seven Days publishing company. The move will put the Most Group’s extensive media interests under separate management and has been made, according to a statement issued by the group, in order to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interests between the two.
