IRANIAN-RUSSIAN MISSILE DEAL REPORTED.

A leading Israeli newspaper reports that Russia has signed an agreement to sell technology for its SS-4 intermediate range ballistic missile to Iran, but that Moscow might be willing to call off the deal if Israel agrees to pay Moscow unspecified compensation. The Ha’aretz newspaper claimed that Russian president Boris Yeltsin had acknowledged the deal during his talks last month in Moscow with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. (UPI, March 31) In February the U.S. warned Moscow against going through with the deal.
