Political writer Andrei Nuykin and economist Pavel Bunich, Duma deputies long known nationwide as promoters of reforms, have withdrawn from the parliamentary group "Russia’s Choice" over vaguely described policy differences. Those who resigned before them include Andrei Kozyrev, Ella Pamfilova, Gennady Burbulis, Andrei Makarov, among many others. The unraveling of Russia’s Choice has contributed to the fragmentation of democratic forces in the current electoral campaign.
