In addition to the May 12 truck bombing in Znamenskoe, other attacks in Chechnya over the last week included a bomb explosion at Grozny’s Dinamo stadium on May 9. The blast killed two policemen and injured one other. The incident forced cancellation of the local Victory Day parade commemorating the defeat of Nazi Germany and the Soviet conquest of Central Europe. According to correspondent Ruslan Isaev of Prague Watchdog, on May 12 rebel guerrillas destroyed a Russian armored personnel carrier, killing two federal soldiers. On May 13 a mine near the village of Duba-Yurt blew up a car carrying Russian soldiers, three of whom were killed.
