MOSCOW EMPHASIZES PEACEFUL RESOLUTION TO KOREAN TENSIONS.
Publication: Monitor Volume: 3 Issue: 78
The Foreign Ministry on April 18 underscored Moscow’s belief in political dialogue as the best way for the two Koreas to resolve their various disputes. The ministry statement was apparently an effort to clarify remarks made earlier in China by Russian defense minister Igor Rodionov to the effect that the U.S. and China would be drawn inevitably into a conflict on the Korean Peninsula and that "Russia would be unable to remain on the sidelines."
