Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) yesterday refused comment on reports that Tokyo police are searching for a Russian national suspected of having spied for Moscow since the 1960’s. (See yesterday’s Monitor) An SVR spokeswoman did say that Japan has not contacted Russia officially about the allegations.
