On Saturday evening, while arguing with men selling watermelons on a Moscow street, one of Russia’s star athletes was knifed in the abdomen. He is recovering in a Moscow hospital, but will be moved to a presidential clinic today. Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin expressed outrage and called for a full investigation.
