The Ukrainian parliament’s budget commission chairman, Mykola Azariv, told an audience in Donetsk that state revenues from privatization in the first ten months of 1995 amounted to just 2 trillion karbovantsi, dramatically short of the 90 trillion that had been expected. Azariv blamed the State Property Fund for lack of control over the privatization process. (6)
