Jamestown Foundation Non-Resident Senior Fellow Pavel Felgenhauer and Analyst Aleksander Golts were interviewed by Meduza in a recent article on the Russian submarine fire, Losharik. In the article, Felgenhauer and Golts give their expert opinions on what may have occurred in the submarine that caused the fire on July 1. Both agreed that it was likely the Losharik was conducting some sort of testing at the time, but there are too many variables for an outside observer to be certain on the cause of the fire.
