BOMB INJURES RUSSIAN COMMANDER IN CHECHNYA.

Lt. General Anatoly Romanov, head of Russia’s joint forces in Chechnya, was badly injured in a bomb attack in the breakaway region on Friday, Interfax news agency said. An earlier report by Interfax had said Romanov had escaped uninjured from the bomb attack which occurred in a tunnel in Grozny as his convoy passed through.
